Information from SusanCan you believe that 2004 is almost here? I can tell you from experience that these years just go faster and faster. Cherish each one, because before you know it your babies are toddlers and your toddlers are preschoolers and the next thing you know, they want the car! Seriously, I wish each and every one of our Goddard families a wonderful holiday season and a fulfilling new year. |
From the Director's ChairThe holiday feeling is in the air and the children are getting excited. They have been busy practicing for the Annual Holiday Concert which is on Thursday, December 11th. We are looking forward to seeing the children up on stage with Mr. Ray. Please remember to have your tickets and be at the High School at 6:45 pm. |

Seal PupsThe Seal Pups are looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with our families and learning about different holidays in December. We had a blast making turkeys with our hands and feet. Be sure to check out our art work on display in the classroom and in the hallway! We say a sad good-bye to Max D. and Ethan W.and wish them well as they transition to Tiny Turtles! Tiny TurtlesThe Turtles learned about the farm, colors, foods and Thanksgiving in November. In December, they will be exploring the themes of cookies, stars, candles, Hanukkah and Christmas. Some skills we will be working on include: saying "please" and "thank you", saying "more" in sign language and helping to put our cups away. We are excited to welcome Max and Ethan to our classroom! |
Smiling StarfishNovember was fun in the Starfish Room. We learned about our colors. We played "Turkey in the Barn" to practice in and out and learned body parts by playing "Mr. Turkey Says", "Hello, Mr. Turkey" was our favorite song!
To celebrate the season in December, we will be learning "The Dreidel Song", "Jingle Bells" and "Must Be Santa". We will be practicing putting on our coats. Welcome to Logan R.!! |
Jumping JellyfishThe Jumping Jellyfish will be practicing how to jump on two feet, wash their hands and help put their coats away. We had fun singing "Five Fat Turkeys" and cant wait to learn "Jingle Bells" and "The Dreidel Song". In December, we will be learning about Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. Happy Birthday to Jena L. (11/23) and Jaye F. (11/22)! We welcomed Nicholas F. and Grace J. to our classroom as we wished Logan R. well in Smiling Starfish! |
Marvelous ManateesIn November, the Manatees did a wonderful job learning about colors, the food groups and giving thanks! They will be learning about bright winter lights, gingerbread men and Hanukkah & Christmas in December. They have been working hard on two songs for the Holiday concert! It is a surprise!! Happy Birthday to Alexandra, Sean, Kelly and Ivan who celebrated their birthdays in November. In December, we will sing Happy Birthday to Alex!! |
Dynamic DolphinsThe Dolphins will be learning about different holidays their friends celebrate such as Christmas, Hanukkah and Diwali. They are working hard on Holiday and winter songs, especially the ones you will get to see performed at the Holiday Concert. In November, we worked on letters "E" through "H". We will explore letters "I" through "K" in December. It is time to take out the clocks because the Dolphins will begin working time. Happy 4th Birthday to Jenna, Jessica, Dominic and C.J.!!!! Be on the lookout for a sign-up sheet for our Holiday Party. |
Outstanding OttersOur Otter friends spent November learning about colors, healthy food, scarecrows and Thanksgiving. We enjoyed singing "I am a Big Red Tomato", "Red, Red, Red, Touch your Head" and "Five Little Turkeys". The letters we are exploring are G, H ,I ,J ,K ,L ,M and N. Our upcoming themes include "Once Upon A Story", "Its Party Time" and "Lets Talk About the Holidays". Happy, happy birthday to Timmy, Etai, Jimmy, Morgan and Lisa Marie!!! Thank you our parents who chaperoned. |
Perky PenguinsIn November and December, the Penguins will be working on the concept of time and sequencing. They will be exploring the themes of Thanksgiving, family and December Holidays. We will sing in the season with songs for the Holiday Concert, songs for holidays celebrated by all our Penguin friends. We will also be singing "Happy Birthday" to Kaitlin, Jack, Angelo and Sheina! Letters we are exploring are W, T, S and M. Just a note to let our Penguin parents know that your children are adjusting wonderfully. We see them growing, learning and making new friends everyday! |
Wondrous WhalesHolidays, Holidays...We kicked off the holiday season this month celebrating Thanksgiving. We will continue the festivities in December with all the holidays our Whale friends celebrate! Danielle W. celebrated her birthday on November 1st. The Whales are doing very well with their letters and have begun working on the vowel sounds. Kindergarten has made their first book! They are the authors of the future!!! |
Afterschool PenguinsThe AfterSchool Penguins will be busy creating many seasonal projects and experiments. It will be fun! The Holiday Concert will be on Thursday, December 11th and we will be joining with the Whales to practice and perform! Wait until you hear us!
